Description<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This form, thrown from one of my own custom porcelain bodies, combines two types of glaze: iron red on the top and zinc silicate on the body. The gradation of tone in the background is especially pleasing in this example. The tone becomes progressively warmer farther down the body until the warm tones at the foot balance the vivid iron red on the neck. I photographed this piece at various locations in Edinburgh<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
