Glittering crystals in the iron aventurine glaze sit upon a subtle zinc silicate glaze. Interaction between the two glazes has created a complex transition: the aventurine gives way to a fiery orange tan on the neck before the zinc silicate chemistry takes over with rivulets of secondary crystals marking the transition. The groun grades from pale green to pale blue at the foot.
