The primary crystals are exceptionally vivid with a complex hue that takes on blue, disky tan and pale green depending on the light. The secondaries are also complex, the ground grading from tan on the neck to pale cream on the shoulder, all the while set with many small crystals.<\/p>\n

This is one of a small number of pieces I made from a porcelain body formulated in part from local materials. My workshop is situated in an area rich in clays formed during the Carboniferous Period. There is a recent article about how this porcelain was made<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n
