Description
This example of my blue and purple crystalline glaze has well defined growth rings within the primary crystals. The ground has many tiny purple secondary crystals.
I treated the porcelain body with hydrochloric acid before throwing. The acid changes the state of flocculation of the clay particles giving a dramatically more plastic body. I was able to throw this very finely giving a light weight piece.
