BKF

Description

This glaze, rich in magnesium, has an unusual chemistry that produces a pink colour with cobalt. The primary crystals give the familiar blue but the complex ground has secondary crystals showing the lesser known pink colour given by cobalt. Needle like secondary crystals predominate on the neck, giving way to soft rounded patches near the foot.

I have used this glaze on many bowl forms but this example on a bottle form is a rare example.
