CFM

Description

Few pieces have been fired as many times as this has been. Sometimes a piece comes out of the firing with a glaze surface that doesn’t create the effect I like. Re-firing often creates unexpected results – some of my best pieces are of this type. This one has gone through the glaze firing four times. The result is a very unusual. The iron red glaze has segregated into small individual crystalline regions of an unusually vivid colour. The body has numerous blue primary crystals with vivid striations. The ground is complex, there are regions of transparent amber with a strong crackle upon which float numerous beige crystals interspersed with a dusting of tiny blue speckles.
