Description
The addition of a small amount of cobalt oxide has transformed the tones of this piece towards blue. The primary crystals are a vivid strong blue with holographic structure. The ground is a complex subtly changing hue, pale creams and gentle blues moving towards green in places. Secondary crystals are particularly well developed. Conditions for photography were difficult with an overcast sky and frequent spring showers.
