Description
Iron red and zinc silicate featuring interlocked primary crystals. The primary crystals have banded centres with a burgundy colour complementing the iron red of the neck. Many of the primary centres feature small fern-like crystals with sixfold symmetry. Away from the centres, the crystals are pale green with hints of dusky blue in places.
I photographed this piece on a wet cloudy day with a partial solar eclipse in progress.
