Iron aventurine on the neck combined with pale green and tan zinc silicate crystalline on the body. The aventurine has sparkling crystals set in a dep amber glass that creates an intricate pattern as it interacts with the glaze below. The crystalline on the body has subtle green primary crystals set on a ground that varies from amber to pink, all set with a dusting of tiny secondaries. Photographed at various locations in the city of Edinburgh, 2025.
Details of my aventurine glaze will be goven in the third edition of Diane Creber’s book on crystalline glazes, to be published in 2026.
